Athanasios
- Founder, President
Mr. Athanasios is the former COO and President of Convene, a
pioneering eLearning company that he cofounded in 1993. He is
the former Vice President of Client Services for Dallas based,
Affiliated Computer Services, a $4 billion Fortune 500 company
that provides business process and technology solutions, systems
integration, professional services, and e-commerce. Mr. Athanasios
has served on numerous panels and presented at eLearning conferences
for organizations such as EDUCAUSE, Syllabus, Converge and numerous
investment banking firms. In addition to contributing to numerous
articles, Mr. Athanasios has been quoted in major media outlets
including The Chronicle of Higher Education, The Wall Street Journal,
The New York Times, Business Week, and Educom Review. Mr. Athanasios
is recognized for his major support and contribution to some of
the world's largest eLearning programs including The University
of Phoenix.
Shalini Bastani
- Vice President, Marketing
Ms. Bastani oversees all aspects of LTP marketing and sales
plan implementation. She plays an active role in business development
with an emphasis on choosing strategic partners and alliances.
Prior to LTP, Ms. Bastani was responsible for strategic market
planning and marketing communications for Convene International,
leading to the company's aggressive penetration into the explosive
eLearning market. These efforts included the successful branding
and positioning of the company's first marketed eLearning product.
Ms. Bastani has a BS from UCLA and an MBA from Georgetown University.

John
Balint
- Vice President, Networks and Integration
Mr. Balint oversees all systems, networks and a variety of eLearning
software integration efforts. Mr. Balint brings to LTP over twenty
years of computer industry experience and a pioneering role in
the eLearning industry with over nine years of developing, managing
networks and integrating eLearning products. His previous experience
includes responsibilities for all Software Development, Networks
and Systems at Convene. Most recently, Mr. Balint held the position
of Chief Technology officer at Billtone, a company that he co-founded.
Mr. Balint also spent eighteen years at Infonet where he managed
a team developing personal computer network products. Mr. Balint
studied Computer Science at the University of Waterloo in Canada
where he obtained a Bachelor of Mathematics degree.
Andrew Schmidt
- Professional Services
Mr. Schmidt has 20 years of experience in a number of related
areas including software and web applications development, globalization
and localization, and technical project management. In early 1999,
he combined his experience as a teacher at the University of Arizona
and his technical skills and experience to help build and lead
the web development department at Convene. More recently Mr. Schmidt,
President of Focus Technologies, has built a web applications
development company specializing in database-driven technology.
Mr. Schmidt received both his BA and MA from the University of
Arizona. |
